KRTU is a non-commercial
radio station serving the San Antonio community since 1976. A small
professional staff and student management team, under the supervision of
the Trinity University Department of Communication, operate KRTU. The
station disc jockeys consist of students and community volunteers.
Together, they strive to bring San Antonio the finest jazz and indie rock radio programming in the city.
Because we are a non-commercial radio station,
we do not offer commercial advertising on our air waves, however we do
allow for non-commercial underwriting. Underwriting is an investment
in the station by a business or individual that supports station operation
and in return receives mentions and information on-air.
The actual underwriting announcements, although not commercials, will tell
our listeners who you are, what your product is, where they can find you,
